12/21/2019 1 Comment MY "LET GO" LIST Release your "old" story to create a better one.
I had this recent epiphany when my husband and I were talking about New Year’s resolutions (and how we think they’re bullsh*t) for an episode on our podcast, Simplified Khaos. I’m aware that we are currently living in a world that is constantly searching for the next best (fill in the blank), whether it’s the next action we take in our life or the next thing we should buy. But, I wasn’t 100% aware that this What’s Next? Mentality had been living in my mind for years and years, totally RENT FREE. This is not the “tenant” or mindset that I want living or consuming my mind any longer, because I know this mindset adds little value to my life. Instead of allowing this What’s Next? Mentality to inhabit my mind any longer, I decided to take action and make a change. I can purposefully choose to bring in a new "tenant", a healthier mindset that will align to what I actually value in life. Let me introduce you to the What Can I Let Go? Mindset. For thirty-three wonderful years, I have been constantly adding more to my life, more thoughts, more stuff, which means my mental, emotional, social and physical load are all HEAVY AS HELL! So, I decided this year to start a LET GO LIST. The purpose of creating this list is to help me reflect, to call out and to subtract the negative, limited and unpurposeful thoughts that are able to consume my mind, rent free. I have to declutter my mind in order to make room for what matters most to me. In order to show up in my life being the best and most authentic version of myself, I have to let go of what’s weighing me down. So, what are all the thoughts in my head that are making me feel stuck or hopeless? What can I LET GO of in my thoughts that will help me to up-level my life to be happier? Alrighty, so here it is friends…my imperfect and work-in-progress, LET GO LIST.

We've made small changes over the years to simplify our mental head space when it comes to the gifting season. We are TEAM PRESENCE, not TEAM PRESENTS, because it makes our family hella happier! Once you start gifting presence over presents, life just feels a little bit lighter and way more fun. I highly recommend gifting these "presence" to not only your loved ones, but to yourself as well. This way you can spend quality time doing something really rad together. Enjoy friends! |
