BALANCING COOKING  AND DINING OUT

Picture
“The cook in the kitchen preparing a meal from plants and animals…has a great many things to worry about, but ‘health’ is simply not one of them, because it is given.”
                          -Michael Pollan

I have a challenge that I want you to do for yourself.  This challenge involves self-love, dedication, delicious foods, and some fun of course! I want you to apply the 18:3 Strategy to your life for 21 days.  You're probably wondering, what the health is the 18:3 Strategy?

Download my free eBook, Balancing Cooking to Dining Out to find out now!

Learning to cook is one of the best choices you can make for overall health and wellness.  I think you will find that this challenge is unlike other challenges, because you have the power to customize it to fit your lifestyle. If you find that following the 18:3 Strategy doesn't work for you, then change it!  You can make it the 17:4 or 16:5 strategy.  The whole point of this challenge is that you don't fail.  This challenge was created to help you build a new habit of cooking.

Some scientific studies have shown that it takes anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for people to form a new habit, or two to eight months.   Researchers have also found that it doesn't matter if you mess up every now and then.  Building better habits is not an all-or-nothing process. Making mistakes is part of living, and I strongly encourage you to mess up during this challenge. Mistakes are proof that you are learning.

I have just one request while you are participating in this challenge. Please document your process, by either taking pictures, or writing about this process in a journal (even your mistakes).   Please share and post pictures of both the meals you cook, as well as the meals you enjoy while dining out. Be sure to tag me,  #jilliankraves, so I can be your best cooking "cheerleader!"

When does this challenge start?
This challenge doesn't have a one-time start date.  Start today, tomorrow, or a week from today.  Who cares, just as long as you start!

Here are some things to think about before you start the challenge:

Worst-case scenario: You spend 21 days cooking and planning out your meals.

Best-case scenario: You discover you are able to live healthier and better than you ever thought possible.

                                     Always craving good food,
                                                   Jillian
